The Matthews family's love affair with sportfishing stretches back over three generations. Brad's father, fondly known as "Bunky," reveled in outings aboard his beloved sportfish. Witnessing his father's joy while growing up instilled in Brad a lifelong fascination, one that only deepened as he began to create similar memories with his own family. That legacy has paved the way for us today, as we proudly offer a new generation of sportfish boats equipped with the latest technology, ensuring that others can continue to share in the same passion that has bound the Matthews family together for generations.
THE DEVELOPMENT OF MATTHEWS CUSTOM YACHTS.
Nearly a decade ago, the beginning of this endeavor unfolded at Slane Marine, where the mold for the 62-foot Sportfish was started. After a few years into the build, circumstances prevented completion of this immense project and the opportunity arose for Brad Matthews to marshal it to fruition, harnessing the skills of former Hatteras craftsmen alongside talents from his other company, Matthews Specialty Vehicles. Custom is no new word for this crew.
Today, with over three years since the inception of Matthews Custom Yachts, we stand at the threshold of a new era. We look forward to continuing this legacy and bringing forth a new generation of custom sportfishing yachts.
